What shape did you choose for your final exam project?

Take a picture of your current work.
What is your current plan to complete all assignments including the red clay hollow animal figure by 5/3/17? What is your biggest struggle? What is your most successful piece to date? Why? What inspiration did you get from looking at other artists and their work down at the Holland Area Arts Council?
Post an image of all of the works that have been fired and are now bisqueware .
Now that you have seen the kiln, you've unloaded it, and you have seen it loaded again, what do you think of the ceramic process so far? What do you think will be different about glaze firing? Do you know what is different in a glaze fire compared to a bisque fire? Photograph your current work. What do you have left to do in your work for the greek pottery?
If you are finished, take a picture of your finished work. what are your feelings on the finished product? New assignment: Create a 8x10 relief sculpture with sunken, low, medium, and high relief aspects to it. Step 1. Sketch a design and get it approved. Step 2. Create a 8x10" slab to work on step 3. Start the build process (On top of a board and canvas! It will make it easier to move) Be wary of small thin pieces that stick out. If they are not supported they will most likely break off. Take a picture of your current work.
Answer the following questions: -Is your sculpture matching your chosen greek pottery form? Why or why not? -How much more time do you think you need in class? What are you currently working on?
Is your build plan going the way you want it to? Has anything slowed down your progress on your current project? Are you have any trouble getting it to look the way *you* want it to? |
